  25. Detail polygons are a remnant of VideoScape, LightWave's predecessor.
  26. It's best to think of them as a workaround that hasn't been needed for
  27. a long time now.  LW still loads objects that have them, though.  An
  28. example is 3D:Objects/Computer/FloppyDisk (I *think* that's one of the
  29. objects that at some point came with LW).
